Being held for 35 years
now the Medieval Banquet, taking place in the vaulted cellars of the
Ivory House is becoming a little piece in history itself. And bearing
in mind the impressive number of visitors every year, nothing implies
that it’s going to be a part of the past any time soon. Located just a stone's
throw from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, the Medieval Banquet
is a perfect escape from our time’s electronic devices and lack
of chivalrous
manners for a
couple of hours.
For
the feast of four courses and unlimited beer and wine, King
Henry VIII and his company of knights and ladies, minstrels and
players will be joining you. Raise your tankard in the manners
of bygone times and flickering torchlights, and make a toast to the
fact that we don’t have to deal with leprosy any more. (Phew...)
Cheers!
