
This week a new theatre play Waiting for Godot has had its premier at London’s West End Royal Haymarket Theatre.

one week of previews from 30 April till the 5th of May
Waiting for Godot has had its premier Wednesday The 6th
of May 2009. Waiting for Godot is a revival theatre play that was
first staged 56 years ago. The theatre play was a radical new theatre
play, people never saw a play like Waiting for Godot before. Critics
and public couldn’t make up their mind loads of people did like the
play and were pleasantly surprised, as well a lot of people were
shocked after seeing the Waiting for Godot theatre play.
Now Waiting for Godot is back after 56 years! Waiting for Godot tells the story of two men which are tramps. The two tramps Simon Callow played by Ian McKellen and Ronald Pickup will be played by Patrick Stewart. The play takes place at one location, where and when is not known. They are waiting for the mysterious Godot and meanwhile have the strange almost poetry like humorous conversations.
Two
well know actors will be performing in Waiting for Godot: Ian
McKellen probably gathered most fame by playing Gandalf in the Lord
of The Rings trilogy. But he did a lot more during his long career,
McKellen has played award winning theatre roles in Othello,
Coriolanus, Amadues and Richard III. McKellen played Magneto in X-men
movies
The
other big actor is Patrick Stewart! Patrick Stewart played several TV
and film roles during his career. He iswell known as Captain Jean-Luc
Picard in the series Star Trek. He played professor Charles Xavier in
the X-men trilogy films. Patrick Stewart has played in many stage
plays he is known for his Shakespearean roles. He starred in
productions of The Tempest, Hamlet, Anthony and Cleopatra, Macbeth
and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Waiting
for Godot is often called one of the most important theatre
productions of the 20th
century.
Two
great actors and the well known director Sean Mathiason has shown this
56year old play is still good for a fabulous night out. Waiting for
