Carousel is a classic musical, the original show was performed for the first time in 1945 at the Majestic Theatre Broadway New York and it was the first drama musical show ever.

The story takes place in a fisherman's village in the 1870's in New England. Carousel is about a love affair between young mill worker Julie Jordan ( played by Alexandra Silber) and the carousel barker Billy Bigelow (played by: Jeremiah James). Because the young couple doesn’t have enough money they have to stay with Julie’s cousin, Nettie. Nettie is played by Lesley Garret “Britain's most popular soprano” her voice is breathtaking, it is a amazing how she sings "You’ll never walk alone".

The whole show is accompanied by very good songs with great lyrics. Famous songs as "You' ll never walk alone" and "If I loved you" were written for Carousel in 1945. But that are not the only good songs in Carousel there are many more! Carousel is choreographed by former Royal Ballet dancer Adam Cooper, who is best known for creating the role of the swan in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake.
