After their debut album, three other hit albums followed. “A Rush of Blood to the Head” (2002) definitely consolidated Coldplay's position as the most popular and acclaimed band all over the world! “X&Y” was released in 2005 and the album immediately became the best-selling album of the year with worldwide sales of 8.3 million. In 2008, with “Viva la Vida” or “Death all his friends” Coldplay’s sound became more experimental and their lyrics more political.
