Based on Hitchcook’s novel from 1935, the plot is about Richard Hayer, an ordinary person who accidentally gets involved in a conspiracy. An exciting escape follows which makes Hayer involuntarily a survivalist and a detective at once: Unveiling the crime and saving his own life is unavoidably connected.
